Creative Block: A User's Guide
‘Creative Block: A User’s Guide’ is a satirical interpretation on the creative process in the form of a strange manual and unfriendly tools, imitating the creative block in a physical form. The project also includes a fake customer service number and a makeshift setting imitating the workspace.
Stretching the limits between instructions and real life, the project investigates whether the time spent on the
process is equal with the value of the outcome. Following
an instruction manual that does not quite instruct, the user is taken on a journey to build something, seemigly the simplest structure in the world —a box— and ultimately taking it down. By coming full circle, Creative Block: A User's Guide explores the feelings of never-ending-ness and frustration, which are often experienced when feeling creatively blocked.
